A CARVED LANDSCAPE BAMBOO BRUSHPOT

Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period (1736-1795)

Height: 12.9cm

The cylindrical brushpot is carved in low relief with a continuous scene of a farewell by the river. The landscape is set at a house within dense bamboo and lush vegetation under rocky cliffs. The elderly host sends off his guest while the attendant brings a qin to the boat.
