Qing Dynasty, 18th Century Qianlong Period (1736-1795)

The thickly jade belt hook carved on the top with an elephant standing with its head turned carrying the sacred almsbowl of Buddha on its back, while the buckle shows a lion playing with a brocade ball. There are tab fittings on the reverse side of the hook and buckle for attachment.
