SONG TO MING DYNASTY (960-1644)
DIAMETER: 7CM
The recumbent horse is finely carved with its head turned slightly to the side whilst resting on its front hooves. The bottom reveals his back hooves tucked under him. The mane is delicately draped down to its shoulders, barely revealing its small ears, and the tail is neatly resting along one side of its body. The stone is smoky grey in tone with dark inclusions.
