QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
LENGTH: 7.7CM
The small waterpot is finely carved from a single section of bamboo root in the form of a hollowed out peach issuing from entwined leafy branches. The peach is flanked by a single flowering bud issuing from the same branch on one side and an outstretched bat looking over the well of the waterpot on its opposite side. The waterpot rests on an openwork wooden stand with foliate floral and pine decoration.
