The washer is in the form of a hollowed out flattened double gourd with shallow walls and flanked by two smaller double gourds, with vines and leaves covering the side as well as the back of the vessel. The jade is greyish white in colour with some brown mottling near the bottom of the vessel. The washer rests on a hongmu stand matchingly decorated.
