HEIGHT (INCLUDING BASE): 14.5CM
The mountain is meticulously carved as a rocky landscape depicting two seated scholars engaged in a game of weiqi with a bystander standing behind. The scene is set in front of a mountainous outcrop framed on the right by tall pine trees. The bamboo is patinated to a warm reddish brown tone accented by rows of pine knots to the reverse. The mountain is raised on a fitted wood stand carved in openwork with lingzhi and pine growing amidst rocky ledges.
