QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)

The grey limestone rock is vertically orientated, comprising of overhanging jagged outcrops with layers of elliptical slits and a tapered waist. The craggy surface is pitted and highly porous with occasional perforations. The stone is of a dark brownish grey tone. The rock rests on an original Suzhou hongmu base.
