A CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER BOX AND COVER

The circular cinnabar lacquer incense box is decorated on the cover with two of the eight immortals in a landscape backdrop, all against a rosette diaper ground. The box is carved with branches of a flowering prunus. The interior of the box and cover are coated with black lacquer.
