A CELADON-GLAZED WATERPOT AND WATER DROPPER

QING DYNASTY, 18-19TH CENTURY

LENGTH: 11.8CM

The waterdropper is moulded in the shape of a lotus pod with a hole through the upper section and linked to a deep cup in the form of a stylised lotus leaf designed to hold the water from the waterdropper. The piece rests on shallow feet issuing from small attendant lotus stalks and covered overall with a pale celadon glaze.
