A SMALL CARNELIAN BRUSHREST

QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
LENGTH: 7.2CM

The brushrest is boldly carved in the form of a mountain with details of a leafy branch on the reverse. The carnelian is bright reddish orange in colour with white inclusions and rests on a silver inlaid hardwood stand.
