A YELLOW JADE VASE AND COVER

QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

HEIGHT (INCLUDING COVER): 10.2CM

The covered vase is hollowed from a single block of jade and is of flattened globular form and raised on a tapered pedestal foot. A bifid-tailed chilong dragon is curled around the neck of the vase and the knop of the cover is decorated with a stylised lotus flower. The semi-translucent jade is of a bright yellow tone and polished to a satinated finish.
