Qing Dynasty, 18th Century

The eight-lobed box and its cover are carved in high relief and
decorated on the top with a chime flanked by a group of two
persimmons, a lotus flower, a bat and two carp, all against a dense
swastika pattern. Each lobe of the box is decorated with one of the
eight Buddhist emblems on a matching ground.
The ivory
is patinated to a warm tone.
