The variegated black and white part of the stone is fashioned in the form of a recumbent qilin with its head turned to one side. The white portion of the stone depicts a boy wearing a voluminous robe seated atop the beast, with a whimsical touch of celadon inclusion forming his hair bun on one side of his turned head. His left arm supporting a ruyi sceptre highlighted though the black speckles of the stone.
