The bronze censer is of compressed bulbous form flanked by a pair of loop handles, rising from a flared foot to a waisted neck and flat rim. The surface is patinated to a caramel-brown tone accentuated with irregular gilt splashes. A sixcharacter ‘Da Ming Xuande nianzhi’ 大明宣德年製 mark is cast in relief within a recessed rectangular cartouche on the base.
