A SMALL JADEITE INCENSE STICK HOLDER

QING DYNASTY, LATE 18TH TO EARLY 19TH CENTURY

HEIGHT: 5.2CM

The incense stick holder is of slender cylindrical form. The exterior is worked in high relief with a magpie perched on budding and blooming branches of prunus issuing from rockwork forming the base. The stone is of a translucent pale celadon tone flecked with emerald-green inclusions and russet veining.
