QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The fine white jade incense burner is of globular form flanked by everted handles and resting on high tripod feet. The censer is covered by a matching domed lid with a pierced coiled dragon finial. The censer and the cover are decorated overall with stylised taotie masks interspersed with raised flanges.
