The censer is cast in imitation of an archaic ding tripod food vessel, with a Ushaped well and short handles resting on three long elegant legs. The vessel is decorated with gold inlay with an archaic bronze pattern and rests on a petalled stand and is surmounted by a pierced lid with a coral knop.
