Qing Dynasty, 18th Century
Length: 10.4cm
The rock crystal is fashioned in the form of a crouching horned
mythical beast, its young clambering on its rear haunches. The
bodies are elongated with a raised spine and curled bifid tails. The
faces are rendered with bushy eyebrows above bulging eyes in
characteristic archaistic style.
The crystal is well-polished to a translucent brownish grey colour.
