A CALCIFIED MOTTLED BROWN CELADON JADE ‘BI’ DISC

NEOLITHIC PERIOD, GANSU REGION, QIJIA CULTURE (2200-1600BC)

DIAMETER: 20.1CM

The beautifully patinated bi disc is characteristically channelled with a circular aperture. The pale celadon stone is charmingly mottled with dark brown and black inclusions, dappled with calcified patches of creamy-white tones.
