A GILT-SPLASHED BRONZE CYLINDRICAL TRIPOD CENSER

QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

HEIGHT: 8.8CM

WEIGHT: 748G

The censer is heavily cast in bronze with straight sides resting on three rounded feet. The mouth rises to a flat, incurving rim. The rim, base and exterior are decorated with irregular gilt splashes. The base is cast with an apocryphal six character ‘Da Ming Xuande nianzhi’ 大明宣德年製 mark in a recessed rectangular shaped cartouche.
