A MASSIVE ‘LINGBI’ SCHOLAR’S ROCK

The substantial metallic limestone is horizontally-orientated with a dynamic, raft like composition that can be appreciated in various orientations. Comprising of two aggressive craggy outcrops framing either side, the rock is raised on two points with a central cavernous section bridged by further jagged protrusions and overhang with occasional perforations. The characteristic wrinkled surface is heightened by characteristic veining. The rock is raised on a Suzhou-type hongmu stand.
